Alta Via Cortina through the Ampezzo Dolomites
A guided Dolomites traverse between Misurina, Sorapiss, Pelmo and Passo Giau
Alta Via Cortina is a Dolomites traverse specially designed by Globo Alpin. It begins in the Misurina area and deliberately stays away from the classic high routes and heavily visited day destinations.

Rugged Dolomite walls alternate with quiet valleys, Alpine meadows and panoramic high trails. Nights are spent in selected rifugios and mountain accommodation, allowing the group to remain in the mountains for several consecutive days.

Itinerary
Start in Misurina
The walking route begins in Misurina. This is the starting point for a specially designed traverse of the Ampezzo Dolomites, which deliberately avoids the classic high-altitude trails and the most popular day-trip destinations.
Scenic mountain paths and quieter passes lead from Misurina towards Sorapiss and Antelao. Along the way, rugged Dolomite cliffs alternate with tranquil mountain valleys and open alpine pastures.
Around Monte Pelmo
As the trip progresses, the mighty Monte Pelmo takes centre stage. The group spends several days at a time in the mountains, staying overnight in selected rifugios and mountain lodges along the way.
Via Mondeval to Passo Giau
The final stages wind through the vast high-mountain landscape of Mondeval. Following scenic high-altitude trails, the route eventually reaches the Passo Giau.
